Easter

We went down to spend Easter weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Ginn.  We started our Easter festivities with the WORST Easter egg hunt EVER!  We took the kids to a shopping center where they proceeded to line us all up and make us wait for the amazing hunt to start.  When we finally got to start, the line went from store to store to gather eggs.  Each store had about 20 eggs to give out, so the first 20 kids in line had an awesome time!  As for the rest of us we were left with no eggs and trying to explain to our sad and angry kids what had just happened.  Oh well what do you do?  They did have some other fun things to do, like a little petting zoo, so the trip wasn't a total bust.

There was also a cute place to take pictures.

Hey Stacia, tell me how you really feel!  Hahaha

Then we got to the real fun, coloring eggs!

 Dad was a big help!

Ready to go to church and learn about the Resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

After church we came back to the house for Easter baskets and egg hunting.

Happy Easter Everyone!

SJC Mission

Stacia studied the Mission's of California in school this year, so we decided to visit the San Juan Capistrano Mission while we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa Ginn this spring.  Stacia was surprised how close it is to their house.  We left the little girls with Grandma which was great because Stacia and Landon could really take their time and enjoy all the beautiful and interesting things we got to see and hear.

They gave us radios so we could listen to information at each location.

They got to make little adobe bricks

Panning for gold!

They spent a lot of time trying to catch a fish out of this pond.  They never got one, but they touched a few of them which was VERY exciting!
It was a fun and educational afternoon.  Stacia was excited to go back and tell her class all about it!

St. Patrick's Day, Hillman's and Hollywood

The kids got all festive for St. Patrick's Day! Don't  they look cute?

The Hillman's were in town visiting Ed and Marie, so we decided to go down and visit with them.  We met them in LA so we could do the Hollywood stuff.
We went to the Griffith Observatory. It has great views and a lot of fun and interesting things to do inside.

The Super cool giant pendulum
The 240-pound brass ball, suspended by a cable 40 feet long, swings in a constant direction while the Earth turns beneath it. The pendulum is mounted to a bearing in the rotunda ceiling that does not turn with the building as it rotates with the Earth. A ring magnet at the bearing gives a little tug on each swing of the pendulum to keep the pendulum in motion. As the day passes, the pendulum knocks over pegs set up in the pendulum pit and indicates the progress of rotation.

Lauren always has to throw at least one tantrum.

There's some fun things to see while walking down Hollywood Blvd.

After all the Hollywood fun, we went down to spend some time with Ed and Marie.
